  1. What is Ergopoint® Office Suite?
    Ergopoint® Office Suite is an e-learning ergonomics solution designed and built by Humantech. It is delivered through the Internet and is comprised of three modules:
    1. Online office ergonomics training;
    2. A self-assessment for office employees of their work stations;
    3. Ergopoint Manager®, which enables data management (e.g., reports) by an organization's administrator(s), and customization of data and access management.
  2. Why is Ergopoint® Office Suite useful to my organization?
    Ergopoint® Office Suite is designed to efficiently help companies identify, prioritize and address the ergonomic needs of their office employees. By optimizing the work environment, organizations may benefit from enhanced productivity by increasing time on task, improved morale, and reduced risk of employee injuries.
    To drive efficiency and control costs, Ergopoint decreases the number of on-site assessments of employee work stations by training employees to conduct ergonomic self-assessments of their workspace. The resulting data from employee self-assessments, and Ergopoint Manager, enable management to determine the most critical cases and spend their resources accordingly, as well as track trends and improvements.
  3. How does Ergopoint® Office Suite work?
    Ergopoint® Office Suite is an e-learning solution accessed by users through the Internet. Once logged into Ergopoint, users may begin their training on-demand, when convenient for them. Training will educate users on the optimal ergonomic conditions for the office environment through the Four Points of Contact®, take them through a 25-question self-assessment, and then recommend a customizable action plan.
  4. How long will employees need to complete both the training and assessment?
    It will take the average employee about thirty to forty minutes to complete both the training and assessment modules. Users do not need to complete the training module in one sitting-Ergopoint® Office Suite is designed to bookmark where the user was last in the training so he/she may return at a later time. They simply need to log back in to resume their training. Likewise, your employees may complete their training and return later to answer the questions in the self-assessment module.
  5. What is presented in the online training module?
    In Ergopoint® Office Suite's training module, users will be taught the Four Points of Contact through an integrated presentation of voiceover, text, and imagery. These points form the key interactions between a user and his or her office environment that can lead to injury.
    The concept of the Four Points of Contact and related recommendations were developed by the certified ergonomics professionals at Humantech.
    The Four Points of Contact are:
    1. Eyes to Source
    2. Hands to Input Device
    3. Body to Chair
    4. Feet to Floor
    The training is designed to increase awareness among users on the ideal interactions between these points of contact and their work environment. Users will be asked to answer multiple-choice questions at the end of each section based on what has been presented.
  6. What is involved in Ergopoint® Office Suite's self-assessment?
    Users will be asked to answer 25 questions related to their workstation layout, keyboard/input device support, seating, computer equipment, lighting, work environment, and other considerations. Their honest answers will help highlight the areas in which your organization can provide solutions to improve the health, safety, and productivity of its employees.
  7. What happens after a user completes the assessment?
    Ergopoint® Office Suite provides a self-assessment summary with an overall score and concern levels, as well as suggested improvements that a user can make. For example, it may recommend that users angle their monitor to reduce glare, or it may recommend that they vary the types of tasks that they perform throughout the day. It also may recommend products to users so they can customize their work environments.
  8. Is Ergopoint® Office Suite available in other languages besides English?
    Ergopoint® Office Suite is currently available in English. However, like all of Humantech's other software applications, other languages are planned for future development.
  9. Is Ergopoint designed to meet OSHA regulations?
    Ergopoint is designed to with OSHA regulations in mind.
  10. Can Ergopoint connect to our organization's training or management system?
    Yes. Data collected from your users will be able to be viewed in Ergopoint and/or exported by your administrator(s). The LMS will be in SCORM or AICC format.
